FSHS not only has excellent academics, hence all the awards the school has earned, but the athletics, clubs/activities, and staff all make it an excellent place to learn and want to be. Also, another important department for FSHS/District that typically gets overlooked is pupil transportation, they go above and beyond to make sure every child gets to and from school safely, they genuinely care about each child. Although there are many great aspects to FSHS, personally I think one of the greatest things about the school is the spirit. I do understand that when it comes to your opinion about your school it may be slightly biased, and you are going to believe your school is the best, but honestly no one does it better than FSHS. Spirit is driven the most by Tim Schlosser(Principal), he makes sure every student is included and every student has a purpose and personally I think that is one of the most important things in a school system. FSHS truly is home!

My teachers always seemed to be interested in how students were performing and their well-being. Classes challenged me when I needed to be challenged, but I never felt overwhelmed. The administration was understanding and always looked out for the best interest of the school and students. While I had an overall good experience in high school, I felt like we were only being prepared for tests and not for life. I am going to graduate high school knowing how to find the derivative of complex equations but not how to file my taxes and that's a problem.
Franklin-Simpson High School isn't just a place where you go to learn and go home. It's a place where new relationships are made every day, and a place that you feel comfortable being a part of. The staff and teachers here truly care for individuals well-being. They not only teach us the content that we are required to learn about, but also how to be a better person once we leave the building. It's an environment that you don't want to leave once you've been involved, and that's one reason that I love being a Franklin-Simpson Wildcat.
