Franklin Road Academy is a wonderful place to work! It's a fantastic school for families wanting strong academic programs and a Christian mission. The small class sizes promote strong relationships among students and teachers. This is a place where the kids are both known and loved. It's wonderful having students from pre-k3 through grade 12 all on the same campus. The upper school students have opportunities to lead by example while the younger students grow and aspire to become the next leaders. Students are encouraged to participate in a wide variety of activities to discover their passions. From robotics and musicals, to athletics and band/choir, students have lots of options for co-curriculars. The school also has beautiful facilities that were specifically designed to increase opportunities for collaboration and fellowship. I truly feel valued for my work every day and the members of the community provide support and encouragement. I love being a part of the FRAmily.
I started at FRA when I was in Pre-K 4 and have really enjoyed going here my whole life! There are tons of great teachers who genuinely care about your education and are willing to go the extra mile to provide support. I’m very involved in the athletics programs and my favorite extra curricular that I am in is broadcasting. I enjoy doing play by play for the basketball team and have enjoyed the opportunities given to me to grow as a broadcaster at FRA. I also enjoy how much support student athletes receive from friends, family, and faculty, it makes the games much more enjoyable and helps the players feel more confident. Overall FRA has a great academic and athletic environment and has lots of great opportunities! I would definitely recommend this to families who are looking for a school in Nashville.
I started FRA in 5th grade and now I am a sophomore. I love how interactive and caring all the teachers are. I have multiple teachers that I go to for advice or if I have problems. Something that needs to change is the school letting new teachers know that there is a drop schedule so that they can properly prepare. Another great thing about FRA is the opportunities it presents. There are many opportunities to do sports, arts, extracurricular academics, etc., as well as the large amount of AP classes offered. My favorite aspect of student life is participating in the plays and musicals. The directors are very welcoming and are very good at working with each student’s own talents, whatever they are. I recommend coming to FRA for the love that the teachers give and the many opportunities FRA presents.
