My daughter came to FRA her freshman year not knowing one other student. She was immediately welcomed and has made the nicest, most supportive friends. I also appreciate the exposure to the socio-economic, religious and cultural diversity at FRA where 21 percent of students are students of color and where 14 countries are represented in the student body. The academics are exceptional. She just received her scores back from both the ACT and SAT and they were excellent - I know she will have her pick of colleges next year when she is a senior. The teachers are encouraging and know the students well! They have encouraged her to get outside of her comfort zone and because of their support she has developed the self-confidence to lead in many different aspects of campus life. I highly recommend FRA to anyone who is looking for a small, tight knit school community that provides an elite education in a sweet and caring inclusive Christian environment!

I would love to give this school a higher rating, but I never thought in 2017 that I would see a school that refuses to hire any staff of color. You hear the same excuse about "we are trying" year after year. Other private schools have recruited and taken FRA's teachers, coaches and trainers in the past by offering higher incentives, and it may be time that FRA does the same.

It's okay for the school to hire coaches and janitors of color, but not teachers to teach the students. I have searched the private schools in the area and each school has at minimum three teachers/faculty of color. Search FRA's faculty website here http://www.franklinroadacademy.com/about-fra/faculty-staff/index.aspx and see for yourself the lack (none) of diversity. I even searched "diversity" in the search field on the website for a diversity board which does not exist. It would be hard to have a diversity board without anyone of color to make the board truly diverse. Other than this, the school is great!
Franklin Road Academy has an amazing social environment and prepares each of their students for success in the future. The teachers care about the students as a person and want you to succeed with challenging material, rather than setting their students up for failure. This environment is very diverse and welcomes students and teachers from all different backgrounds to create an inclusive environment. My experience at this school has been life-changing and I highly recommend anyone who is dedicated and devoted, to research and consider this school.
