Franklin is a very large public high school with strong academic and sports programs. Franklin does very well in their league and as a participant in their track and cross country program, competitive invitationals and teammates attending state level competitions wasn't anything new. Franklin also has a very strong Visual and Performing Arts program. Their choir is ranked superior (the highest rank) and are even going to New York this year. More importantly, Franklin students exceed national averages on AP testing and have a very wide selection of honors and AP classes, with their strength in faculty in Math and English. There is a very strong culture of academic competitiveness and college bound students. Every year, Franklin students get accepted into the most prestigious colleges in the nation. In my graduating year alone, some of the most notable college acceptances were Stanford, MIT, and John Hopkins.

I think Franklin is a great school. MOST of the staff and teachers care about their students and are able to help them when needed. The campus is nice, most students are behaved, and there’s an amazing school pride and culture. The curriculum is also very good and competitive which in my experience, allowed for better grades. One thing about the school that I’m not too much a fan of is the lack of diversity and representation for non Asian or white students. I feel like it often leaves the minorities out since they’re overlooked and ignored a lot. I also don’t like how they don’t pay attention to any other sports besides football, basketball, baseball, and kinda soccer. This leaves other sports understaffed with not enough equipment and they even cut down track season to make football season longer. But other than that, Franklin is a good school. I would recommend going to this school over most of the other schools in the EGUSD district.
Over the years i have attended Franklin High School, i have been given many opportunities to help serve my community Our school is located in Elk Grove, one of the most diverse cities in the nation. Our High School is a gleaming example of diversity, having cultural clubs and various honor societies. These groups allow students to feel connected with their culture, and by an extension, connected to their community. I have personally attended Franklin High School from Freshman to Senior year, and I can say that leaving will be bittersweet. But at the end of the day, I am hope full. I am confident, because, this school has allowed me not only to face adversity, but to overcome it as-well. Along with Teachers, Counselors, and fellow students, i feel prepared for the world beyond. And I can't wait for incoming classes to experience what it's like to be a Franklin High WILDCAT.
