My experience at Franklin High School began when I moved there from Libertyville, Illinois as an incoming sophomore. I joined their program known as "New Tech", which is a program that incorporates project-based learning in order to make learning more of a real-world experience instead of lecturing. I joined this because my friends all recommended it, and I found that it was not as enhancing as I had hoped. The majority of teachers gave their bare minimum effort and I found myself bored out of my mind on most days because I was not being challenged. However, I challenged myself as much as possible and made the best out of the situation. The people there are amazing, and the sports are entertaining. I felt that my social aspect of high school was fulfilled; there was always something to do! I just wish that the teachers were more motivated.

Well, my experience at Franklin High School was delightful. I loved how diverse the school was and how many different cultures there were to interact with. I definitely enjoyed making a ton of new friends with both fellow students and the staff members there. The facility itself was extraordinary and the best there is in El Paso, speaking of the best, we had the best sports and academics this year. Go class of 2019!
At Franklin High School I have been exposed to many good teachers who encourage and excite me about the opportunities the future holds. I have taken many great classes with teachers that have made them engaging and interesting. Recently we have been making many changes due to having a new principal. She has greatly improved all aspects of Franklin High School, especially college readiness. She has put programs in place to make sure all students graduate with college readiness certifications to ensure that they do not have to take remedial courses in college. Franklin is a great school with an enthusiastic student body, insightful educators, and helpful faculty that does a fantastic job of preparing students for their futures.
