Franklin definitely had pros and cons.
Pros: The relationships I made there are lifelong friends and teachers that mentored me. I still keep in touch with everyone. I definitely needed to get away from home. It gave me direction when I didn't have any.
Cons: They kept pushing the college route for people who are unconventional. Theres so many different life paths that people can take. I wish they did a better job of helping us find our strengths, instead of focusing on fixing our weaknesses. I can fully comprehend that we all have things we need to work on, but sometimes it felt like the program did not understand that there are many different strengths that someone can have. They could definitely improve the food. It was a hit or miss with staff. There were a lot of amazing hard working teachers and deans, but I could definitely tell they were overworked and tired. I definitely did not feel prepared for college or the real world when I left.

I've been here for over a year. I used to like it. But this got interrupted by the many problems with the school. Me and my friends also had these problems so we addressed them with the school. Except whenever we did this, the staff dismissed us and told us that we were just being negative and our concerns are invalid. This contrasts which much of its advertisements on its website and social media accounts, which use old photos of students who left years ago, have cherrypicked quotes, use blatantly false information etc. I used to like it here and it has made me a better person than when I first came.
This doesn't excuse the rudeness some of the staff show to the students, nor the fact that they delete much of their hardwork. I lost my presentation that I worked hours a week for months on because they decided to delete my account instead of deactivate it.
I wish Franklin was better, but as it is now and what many people agree; it isn't the best place for people on the spectrum.

I am proud to be a Franklin graduate. Franklin changed my life. Their program is good, not the perfect fit for me because of certain aspects of it, but a very unique school.
