The school has great vision & has implemented an impressive strategic plan regarding academics, character development, equity and diversity, and more. They truly believe that even the best can be made better. Their commitment to diversity is what sold us. The school is committed to bringing in kids from all socio-economic backgrounds and diverse ethnicities and nationalities. Forget the stereotypes that you often think of when it comes to private schools; this place is different (especially at the current k-5 level). They practice what they preach. It’s not perfect, but the school also recognizes where they need to make improvements, and they’re working on it.

Attending Francis Parker has been an incredible experience. From 4 years old I have grown with the school and have developed a deep love for every aspect of it. The Francis Parker community is overwhelmingly supportive. Both teachers and students want nothing more than to see each other succeed. Francis Parker deeply values the education of every single student but other important aspects of a valuable high school experience are not always prioritized. Not all sports teams receive equal attention by administration, resulting in low interest in high performing sports and a lack in overall school spirit. Similarly, most clubs on campus are not taken very seriously, though we do have some phenomenal organizations such as robotics and drama. Recently Francis Parker has worked to improve the quality of its extracurriculars and to build more excitement around them. Overall Francis Parker has awarded me with a very unique opportunity as a student, to be able to receive a top-notch education.
I had a very positive experience at Parker. I was surrounded by interesting, intelligent, peers and insightful and kind teachers, especially D'Onofrio, Harrington, Wilson, and Joshi. The entire Parker English department is incredible, and the math and history departments were mostly very strong, but there were some gaps in the foreign language and science departments. There were some inconsistencies involving the level of difficulty of some teachers' classes as well as some classes (biology) that were pretty outdated and poorly taught. The food was always absolutely incredible. The facilities are beautiful and they are adding a ton of new stuff, but I wish that they would just pay their teachers more and funnel money into educational opportunities for students rather than a pretty building, but that's just me.
