Good: teachers and administration that care, many clubs and sports, resources (counselors, tutoring, Luis and Cark, Caps, Project Lead the Way, AP, and elective courses), plans for new building, award-winning journalism, generally safe atmosphere, stunning homecoming and prom dances, high graduation rate, students are listened to (for example, students intiative changed school hat policy).
Bad: $40 activity fee for joining clubs, plus many clubs/sports require additional fees, lack of funding for small sports and clubs, class sizes are usually fine, but for core classes can be very large

I would like to see more technology involvement in classes. Otherwise the school was very nice. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the courses were abundant. They have an excellent journalism department with little to no censorship. This school makes it very easy to get involved in student activities. A good deal of clubs were offered all with a variety of purposes. While the sports teams weren’t the best, there were many to choose from, including lacrosse. They were very good at making sure students got the tutoring they needed to pass their classes.
The changes that FHN made last summer were amazing. Ever since we got a new principal, the school environment have changed miraculously. He's has improved the school by: re-painting the school walls, adding different language cards around the school to make everyone feel welcome, and provided new lunch tables in the cafeteria. He has made the school become more positive this year. In results to that, the school didn't have as many fights this year rather than last year. I'm really glad that I seeing these changes now instead of later. I want my last impression of high school to be one I want to remember.
