Francis Howell High School is a school recognized for its outstanding sports program and the amount of challenge, college, and enhancement classes available to students. The school faculty handles discrimination, harassment, and social issues with action to help stop and prevent it. The college prep at Francis Howell High School is enriching and actually helpful. The school counselors are extremely helpful and resourceful. One of the only problems I have with Francis Howell High School is with some of the teachers and how their methods of teaching. One of the teachers I had tried to force their religion onto other students and made many of them uncomfortable. Another common problem with teachers at Francis Howell High School is that some prefer to let students teach themselves or do not provide clear instructions or lessons for students to grasp onto. Overall, Francis Howell High School is a respectable school with many opportunities for students of all backgrounds.

I have loved my experience at Francis Howell High School. The wide variety of courses they offer is extremely helpful for experimenting with possible interests for the future. At least, this is certainly the case with me; I have found a passion in teaching through my Pathways to Teaching class and internship. Because of this; along with the college fair and helpful councilors, I feel that my school excels in providing students with the resources they need to prepare themselves for college. Additionally, I think school culture is a very important aspect of a good high school experience and something my school never seems to lack. Francis Howell offers a wide variety of ways for students to get involved with the school. Some of these ways include: school spirit dress weeks, school assemblies, intercom music on Fridays, football games, a large variety of clubs, and more. Taking all of this and more into consideration, I can conclude that I love being a part of Francis Howell High School.
Francis Howell was a great school for the typical high school experience. Sporting events were the talk of the school and there was always a cool theme. There were lots of activities and rallies for students to enjoy and participate in. The administration overall, besides a few bad apples, was extremely kind and genuinely cared about the lives of students. Many of the teachers were extremely passionate too and some I still keep in contact with post graduation! The downfall of FHHS however is the lack of diversity. Nearly all students and faculty look and act the same and have the same views. Diverse students were not welcomed with open arms either.
