80% of the kids are preppy, over privileged kids. There are very few teachers who are actually good at their jobs and make the kids excited to learn. It is super hard to fit in, especially when moving into the district. The food isn’t great. The teachers specifically for math classes make math almost seem impossible. I will say, however, that students do have good access to technology and resources. Most homework now is assigned online which makes things easy. There are many electives to choose from which not many schools have, so that’s a positive aspect. Honestly, the teachers for electives like art and music are the only kind teachers, and they are really the only ones interested in what and how a student wants to learn or do. The school only really cares about the popular or athletic kids.

The school overall prepared me well for college. However, the school tends to cater its academia to the students who have trouble learning and lack programs for excelling students.

Socially the school is very segregated. The social scene is very cliquey and it is hard to move between "social classes". Most students disregard the presence of the hispanic community.

Further, the school has very unnecessary protocols for safety and treats its students like children rather than young adults. The school tries extremely hard to be "pc" however it comes off as "babying" the students. For example, the sign-out system for leaving campus is very arbitrary, inefficient, and demonstrates a lack of trust between administration and the students.

As for cleanliness, it is unknown how often the bathroom facilities are cleaned. However, if I were to take a guess, then I'd assume less than once per day.
Best public high school in the county. I'm a senior and due to my experiences at Fox Lane, I feel more college ready than ever. There's a lot of options for honors and AP Classes to choose from. The school has various events that attempt to bring the community together, such as Wellness Day and Collaborative Lunch. The school puts an emphasis on sports and most of the student body is involved in a sport and attend sporting events, especially basketball. Teachers are helpful and want the students to succeed. The guidance counselors get to know the students and try to start the college process as early as junior year. The school is very open to student input, as students are able to participate in the school board's meetings. Attending Fox Lane High school has made me feel ready for college and my future.
