Fountain Valley truly is an amazing place for students. You will have classmates from all over the world, teachers who are also your advisers, coaches and dorm parents. Yes, there are small class sizes, but what truly makes a difference is that the teachers are committed to transforming your child into a global citizen who thinks critically.

Is it expensive? Yes. But there are need-based and merit-based scholarships. The opportunities are amazing.

The breadth of athletics is good; some times are more successful than others. But, you can also learn how to ride a horse, participate in outdoor education, and more! They are building a new athletic center that opens next year... that's going to be great for the community.

Fountain Valley School pushed me to excel in my strengths while discovering new ones. It's beautiful campus, gorgeous arts facility, and opportunities for travel and interaction with students from around the world taught me how to find a home anywhere. Faculty encourage students to think globally but act locally, which is exemplified by independent senior projects with food banks, student-led workshops for Earth Day and Unity Day, and candid discussions in the dorm common rooms. FVS has made me a better person!
FVS is such a welcoming and close community. With students from a lot of different countries, I'm able to experience a diverse variety of cultures. The core values: compassion, open mindedness, curiosity, self reliance, and courage are shown throughout every student here vividly. This is truly the place that we can start our new chapter in life and write our history! I am grateful for being here.
