I love the teachers and the care they put into their jobs. They are kind, considerate, and take the time the class needs to accomplish our work and truly understand it. They use material applicable to us for deeper understanding of the work we are doing that helps us understand how the information is important outside of school, and they are always changing things up to make learning new and exciting. With that being said, the current system in place for students to succeed becomes increasingly difficult. The school is currently under construction, and as construction continues, many budget cuts are taking place, with priority to some things coming over others. There are many classes that need new textbooks and other class materials while the budgets for clubs and other outside resources for students are undergoing significant cuts. While I personally believe the school is becoming better, there is still a long ways to go.

Great high school experience! One of the most diverse schools in the country field with kind, fun and intelligent kids. The teachers are no exception. Most, if not all, are willing to go out of their way to give their students all the help they need to be successful.
Being a foster student for four years and involved in it’s leadership program has made me learn a lot. My highschool is not just any highschool, Foster highschool is the most diverse school ever. It’s diversity is something that’s extraordinary, when teachers come here they are amazed of how the students are. There’s a variety of mixed culture, religion and even ethnics. One thing I would like to change is the awareness of Foster highschool’s students. Student here experience a lot from wars in different countries, witnessing their family members murdered, to becoming homeless. I believe their stories are as important as becoming successful, and I want the whole world to know about them. As young as 14 they are continuing to work hard an support their family, going to work, and school. These are hard working students and I believe they should be noticed for their efforts.
