After moving to Vancouver from Portland, I was incredibly nervous about starting out at a completely new school. Although I was very anxious at the start, the community at Fort Vancouver High School was very welcoming! The school has many traditions and activities that help everyone feel like they are a part of a community. I am now involved in various clubs that the high school offers. Through clubs I've had the chance to meet amazing lifelong friends while helping the community around us. As a senior, the resources offered at Fort Vancouver High School have really prepared me for college --resources like Niche to help me with scholarships! Moving cities and joining the amazing community at Fort Vancouver High School was one of the best things to happen to me!

Fort Vancouver high school known for its “Center for international studies” is very diverse and a really good school overall. Some things could improve the schools food and overall education would probably be some issues concerning attendance. Fort has very low attendance rates as kids are consistently skipping class and not attending due to lack of family support and needing to watch brothers/ sisters can affect their attendance as well. Another issue is school lunch. School lunch needs To be longer as many kids end up being late as well as the lunch is only 30 minutes and that effects people who drive.Although, the school has some flaws Fort Vancouver high school is still a very great school and the teachers are all very caring for their students and take time to ensure the students gain/earn the success they deserve. I highly recommend attending this school as my overall experience with the school is very good.
Fort was a great high school! I met some good friends there, and you could tell the staff loved their jobs. There were plenty of clubs and after school activities for people to do, and they varied so much that there was something for almost anyone. The counselors were very helpful in straightening out problems. The security team at the school also kept everyone in line for the most art, and felt like a part of the school community itself and less like outside contracted enforcers. They joked with the students and acted as guides as well as rue enforcers. The diversity at the high school definitely made for an interesting community, as there are people from all over the world who attend classes there. One of my best friends there was Filipino, and another from Ukraine.
