Fort Myers High is a great school! They have great academics and sports that help kids achieve many things. They allow you to grow in your community by joining clubs and teams that show you what friendship and fun looks like. We have good sports teams that help kids get connected and do what the love. There is an Ib program that allows students to grow in their academics, and helps prepare kids for college. This program sets kids up to learn new and interesting ideas about the world and specific fields of work. This program also teaches kids to deal with challenges and work through them. It also helps kids get prepared for college work and teaching styles of professors. Overall Fort Myers High allows kids to achieve many goal and have my opportunities to do so.
An excellent school if you want to be ready for college. However, administration and teachers are only focused on the IB students and never really pay attention to students in the Honors program or in regular courses. In my experience, you should take IB courses if you want to go to ivy league schools (as long as you also are very invested in volunteering, student government, and as many clubs as possible). Take dual-enrollment in your junior and senior year because you can get college credit for FREE and not have to take AP courses which are actually more work than college courses. Take Pre-IB courses in your freshman and sophomore year even if you don't want to take IB. It will still prepare you for junior year honors and senior year will be the easiest year out of them all.

Fort Myers High School ranks among the top. We can boost about academics with the esteemed IB programme. We are informed and are prepared for post-secondary plan. FMHS gives you the motivation, tools and resources to go forward after graduation and excel. Staff and teachers alike are full of caring smiles and want you to succeed. School safety is a top priority at FHMS as well as mental health. Safety is a top propriety. Our athletic department with team sports is ranked the best both district and state champions multiple years running. There are a ton of extracurricular clubs to participate in as well as music and theater programs. If I had to give a negative review for Fort Myers High School it would have to be the food program. I would recommend Fort Myers High School to any prospective student and parents because being a Fort Myers student means being a Greenie and you are part of the family for life! GO GREEN WAVE
