FLHS is centered in an awesome community full of awesome opportunities. Through my experience as a student, I have found that one must be willing to be involved in order to flourish at this school. Our academics are not great because of circumstances that the school can not control. For example, there are many students who attend FLHS with English as their second language. We have awesome teachers, but due to circumstances of the students, we do not meet standards set by the state. These students are definitely highly intelligent, but language barriers do cause the data to look bad.
What we lack in meeting the state's standards, we make up for in our environment. All of the staff make efforts to include every single student. Our school culture is very well established, and it is very positive. The energy that bluedevils project is undeniably great. Being a smaller school, we have more opportunities for connection.
It is important to involve oneself in activities outside of school.

I like going to my high school because it's not too big and there are not that many kids. The teachers are all good and they make subjects easy to learn for the most part. The school food is ok depending on what they are serving, like their delicious yogurt or their chicken alfredo. The bathrooms are always clean and so are the classrooms and hallways. The students aren't really mean to each other, sure there are disagreements but never anything physical. The education there is good and I like being there.
Overall my experience at Ft.Lupton High School was a good one. We are located in a smaller community, but it is exactly the type of environment I prefer. From the teachers to the administrators, Ft.Lupton High School has amazing people who take their time to really engage with everyone of their students. It is very safe place to attend and shows diversity. I have received a great education here.
