My favorite part about the school was a certain program called the Science Research Program. This program allowed students to conduct their own original research and also helped them obtain science-related summer internships where students learned about their field of interest. This was one of the few things that actually prepared me for college and I am deeply grateful for it. Furthermore, the AP Calculus teacher, Mr. Yoon, was one of the best teachers that I have ever had because ever since I took his class, college math is super easy. My only complaint would be the science teachers, some of them were really bad.

Fort Lee High School has not only an abundance of opportunities but a competitive atmosphere that continuously motivates students. When it comes to the academic fields, their standards are higher than most schools in Bergen County. Students are always putting in their best effort to become the best of the best. Transferring to FLHS unveiled a completely different side of myself. My peers were always involved in AP or IB courses, AOF, Theatre, Sports, and more. Every single student worked towards something that made them special. College isn't taken lightly at this school. College acceptances are how Fort Lee High School flaunts their students. Academics are held at a high expectation that it actually stressed me out. The staff diversified in many ways as their teaching methods either helped or confused me. The FLHS community, more or less, shaped me. As a 2019 graduate, I'm honored and proud to say that I once attended Fort Lee High School.
Fort Lee High School's strengths are in its diversity and opulence of opportunity. A student can pick up a sport casually and become a competitive athlete by the end of the year. He/She can also get into art casually and find a new passion for painting or music. Furthermore, that same student can join academic clubs and further his/her knowledge in subjects like physics, mathematics, and literature. Personally, I find the teachers to be all enjoyable. The faculty are usually pleasant and cater to student's necessities while balancing some sort of control.
