At Fort Lauderdale High School, the Cambridge and Magnet Programs - especially Pre-Law - are incredible. They genuinely open up an incredible amount of doors and grant you a variety of amazing opportunities to reach your dreams. Maybe a little less important, but still definitely a student favorite, the cafeteria has two floors! While, like every school, it has its faults, it remains a wonderful school and one that I would not have exchanged for anywhere else.
This school is a really good school academically. The teachers take their jobs seriously and I can walk in there knowing that my time was not wasted. They have so many clubs and so many opportunities for their students. The staff really does care. The students are also held to a standard that keeps them grounded. Students respect one another and they care. Its a beautiful campus with a lot if space for all of its students. I never feel cramped or stuffed in a class room. While there’s a lot of students, there’s also a lot of space. The guidance counselors also truly care. They respond quickly and get back to every student This school would get a5/5 if it weren’t for the lunch. The lunch tastes fake and it makes me feel sick. I have no choice but to eat it or I will starve. Otherwise this school is great!
This is a great school. When I was in 8th grade I didn’t want to attend this school. I actually wanted to go to another high school that was closer to me. But my mom thought that this school would be a better opportunity for me. She was extremely right. Since I’ve been at this school I’ve been inter grated into so many different groups of people. Learning new things that I would not be able to get any where else. The school offers the Cambridge program, which are college level courses which can be accepted at select universities in college. This has prepared to understand college level concepts of courses and be able to grasp the feeling educated like a college student would. I can confidently say that this is the best school in Broward County. I also thank my mom for sending me this way.
