The Fort Hayes Career Center is an amazing opportunity to prepare for your desired career pathway and to earn real experience and technical practice through hands on activities, spacious classrooms and teachers for each specialized programs, and many students from my Art Portfolio program earn art scholarships and rewards in our art competitions. I’ve become a much better artist in the past two years and I have one of my art pieces displayed at my first choice school in a gallery for a competition. Just found out I was accepted yesterday! Thank you to Mrs. Ackers for being a hardworking teacher who taught us how to draw from the right side of the brain, negative space, details, to look more at what you’re studying than your handiwork, complimentary colors and how to create anatomically correct figures.

I liked that in Fort Hayes Career Center the teachers prepared us for whatever field we were going to be apart of when we graduated. For example I was in the Health Program and everything I learned I was able to bring to college and be ahead in some of my classes because of it.
Fort Hayes is a great school and a good school to attend. The only issue is the dress code that limits what students can wear.
