When I first started to intend Fort Hayes my freshman year I thought I was going to be lonely and uncomfortable due to not knowing anyone but, the people who went and go there now are very friendly and it was very natural to make friends without realizing it. The school also tries to make everyone feel like they are apart of a big family, they make sure they host events that everyone can come to and make sure to keep us all posted when something happens. The teachers also help with not just getting the seniors prepared for the real world but they also make sure ALL of their students including the sophomores, juniors and freshman are learning and are able to leave the classroom with something that can be valuable to them everyday. As a student I would refer someone to go to Fort Hayes to gain the experience of an Art's school on a college style campus but they would definitely have to be ready for a workout with walking up the flights of stairs everyday- no elevators :)

My experience at fort Hayes has been a learning experience. Fort Hayes has showed me its okay to be different and stand out and want to succeed. It has also taught me grate study skills to successfully pass a class. The teachers at fort Hayes truly care about your success in school they will not let you fail. The school is really preparing you for college we have 10 periods and on Monday we have all 10 periods. Then on Tuesday and Thursday we have an odd day which means we only have or odd periods and on Wednesday and Friday we have an even day which is all even periods. We always have 5 and 6 because those are our lunch periods. They accommodate arts with your core classes. One thing that I would like to change about fort Hayes is for them to have a sports team like basketball, drill team or even football.
Mostly great teachers and really fun place to be. Better than a lot of school in the district. Only downside: lots of people like to mess around or threaten each other with fights. Happens all around the district, though, and it's much worse at other schools. Administration deals with that stuff pretty well, but it just gets annoying.
