Fort Dorchester is a very diverse school with a range of activities to involve yourself with! It's a really big football school so some of the other sports are neglected, but only from the same attention which I believe is a culturally thing. They have a decent fine arts department but only in result with the recent change in principal and most fine arts teacher so the several departments suffer from the lack of growth, attention and participation once achieved at Fort Dorchester. It is an older school that has renovations so it's still a decent campus.

There many many different academic opportunities at Fort Dorchester such as honor, AP, IB, and Dual Enrollment courses. The teachers in these courses understand the difficult level of learning a high school student is involved in so they will always try to meet up with you to higher your grade or give you a better understanding. Fort Dorchester has many club organizations floating around that gives many students the opportunity to meet new people especially a freshman coming into high school. There's also many fine arts programs at Fort Dorchester and the fine arts directors always try to find some way to make all the programs come together so the students can appreciate different programs. Fort administrators could do a better job at reminding students of information or just simply getting announcements out. Also the administration tends the blame the whole school for situations only a certain group of students have caused such as fights and people who run to the fights.
A great school with both the AP and IB program! I chose the AP route, however the IB program is amazing and great for students who wish to complete their Bachelor Degrees abraod. This school gives you life skills that can be used throughout adulthood. The teachers and administrators want the best for each student and are always willing to help in every way possible. I truly am grateful that I attended this school as it prepared me for college, at Clemson University, and also prepared me for life.
