We are so proud of the man our son has become -much in part due to the leadership and environment at FUMA! We were immediately impressed with the calibre of cadet and cadre during our introductory visit and the decision to enroll was easy. Our son excelled at FUMA, not only academically, but socially, spiritually, physically and emotionally and has definitely prepared him for the future. Thank you FUMA!

Fork Union has unlocked the mystery for getting young men who are "alternative learners" to succeed in school with the "One Subject Plan". Moreover, it immerses them in an environment that addresses their needs and shortcomings holistically. Although FUMA is a college prep school and prioritizes academics first, it has strong programs to develop cameraderie, accountability, responsibility, discipline, athleticism, and compassion. The environment at FUMA is conducive to creating responsible, nurturing, and disciplined you men who are prepared to compete in their peer groups in anything they choose to do after graduation. The Staff continuously demonstrate their investment in the boys and instill an appreciation for traditions, honor, sacrifice, hard work, and courage. The diverse student body is definitely a plus and compulsory athletic participation and chapel services help the boys maintain a balance in their lives. The Staff is professional, personable, and always helpful.
Fork Union Military Academy was my son’s choice, and his 4 years prepared him well, not just for college (now at UVA) but also as a leader. He was able to graduate with both his high school diploma and his Associates degree, which gave him a huge head start in his college career. The school teaches boys to be men, and gives them skills most wont learn until much later...if ever. It’s a great place!
