I belong to a high school community consisting of the 1,183 students and 69 teachers and faculty members at Forestview High School in Gastonia, North Carolina, the home of the Jaguars. On a regular Friday morning you may see our principle, Mrs.Houser, welcoming students at the front door. Later in the day you could go outside and eat lunch in the courtyard and hear the students discuss if pancakes or waffles are better. You may even go into Mr. Braxton’s room and look at his fish, play ping pong, or ripstik around the desks. Finally you would go to Joe Alala Stadium at night and see glitter covering all of the students and feel their energy. This school has great intentions in areas such as academics and teachers, but sometimes poor execution. Overall, I love my school, but, we could always improve certain areas like the social studies department and resources available outsite of school.

Forestview High School is a diverse school. The academics are depends on the teacher for example some teacher like to teach by the book and others do presentations of the lesson or visual learning. The teachers are caring and ready to educate the children at this school. The things that can be change around the school is the food for the student's health. Clubs and activities are great at this school. Everyone is able to join for their interests. The sports are well competitive. The athletes train mostly everyday after school, at least an hour. Overall, the school is a great place for kids to learn. The diversity at this school is phenomenal.
Gaston County schools or the residents of Gaston county always had their open opinions of what they thought about Forestview or what they heard about it. I wanted to attend Forestview because of the affluence, the popularity that was claimed, and because I knew most of my friends from elementary school and middle school would be there. Starting out my first year was not the best but definitely worth remembering. If you are an top athlete, apart of beta club, or a student that is very close to a teacher, you had the advantage to getting whatever you want from this school. When I was a student, there were good, bad, and impartial teachers. The good did their best to help you. The bad were ready to risk their jobs. The impartial just went to work and went home. If you are not willing to learn, chances are you won't do great, but make sure to find the support you need.
