I enjoyed the small town, closeness of the school, where students all know each other, watch each others back and support each other. I loved getting to participate in whatever sport I pleased and the coaches were all amazing. School spirit is on the low side, but through clubs and athletics I see it increasing in the near future. The teachers were constantly very involved, considerate and helpful. I would like to see more class options; however, this is already improving with the options of online and distance learning classes.

Foresthill High school is a small school that houses a small town feel that can help student be more comfortable within school. The school has many benefits it is difficult to choose why. I would say my favorite thing about the school is the fact that since the school is in the mountains there are classes that we have that many other schools that live in the city do not. Also, there are chances to be apart of many sports. A student can play three sports year round if they want where as at other schools students can't do this. There is not a lot about Foresthill high school that anyone can change its normal issues every school has. Although I think Foresthill high school does do a better job than most schools at handling these issues as they arise. Overall, Foresthill high school is a beautiful school and many would be happy to go to school here.
I liked the small class sizes, since this was a small high school. Also, I enjoyed how every student got the opportunity to participate in athletics since the school was so small. I doubt I would have had the chance to try soccer at a larger public school. However, a drawback to it being so small is that if students want to take higher level courses, they must do so online. And even with that, the selection is pretty limited. There are not many AP courses offered at FHS, and the ones that are offered are not taught every year, most are every other year. For example, I could not take AP Biology my senior year because it was not being offered that school year.
