During my four years at Forest Park High School, you can see that the teachers care about their students well being and success. The teachers are able to create a special one-on-one bond with their students that create a learning environment where we feel safe and confident in ourselves. The diversity within the school impacts lives in a positive way as we experience it daily. For what I would like to change, there needs to be more administrative contact with students. If a student from one class comes with an issue about a classroom/teacher, address it with multiple students within the class so there are many opinions and not just one. Now, administrators come in and sit in the class while the teacher is teaching. I feel that is not helpful because the teacher could be showing the side that is not him/her since someone is watching their behavior. Overall my High School experience has been full of amazing opportunities and life lessons and I would not change a thing.

I moved to Prince William County during my sophomore year of high school from Fairfax County, so my base school ended up being Forest Park. It is never easy transitioning, but the school had a good staff set up to help transfer/new students into their school. Adjusting into the environment was alright but because I moved in the middle of the school year, I was playing catch up, constantly, therefore that school year became a headache. But moving onto the new school year, I have had difficulties seeing eye-to-eye with some teachers. Staff was not the best but had to suffer my way through the school.
Forest Park High School ultimately changed my perspective on people, in the best way possible. I've learned to become friends with people I never thought I would talk to talk to and I've made the greatest friends one could ask for. It also left me with skills that will last a lifetime. The information technology program was fantastic by giving certifications I am able to essentially use after high school. The only thing I would change about Forest Park is the school itself. My class is working on creating murals on the school walls to make the environment feel more lively, but I would love to see later classes doing the same.
