I feel like I was truly a part of this school. I see that almost all the students here are new with how the classes work if they come from a different country, how English is not most of the people's first language and there are friends that treated you so friendly that you feel as if they are friends from your old school or your home country.
The library is the best part of the school. It is huge and has many books that I think my high school right now would not have.
I would say that there are many great teachers that love their jobs at this school, but along with that are those that did not do much and just let their students do whatever they want. I think that Forest Oak should rethink about this problem in the future.
Also, I at least saw one or two fights for every school years. I insist that the administrators could talk to the students about how to handle their temper beside those presentations about cyberbullying or depression.

While I did graduate with good memories, my time at FOMS was awful. I was constantly ignored by the councilors, who were always busy meeting with their regular students to notice those who needed help too. I noticed that the students who had a clean record and good grades were often forgotten. At school I was bullied by another student. Once I was able to talk to the councilor, and they made up excuses for the students physical and verbal abuse, saying that I had to give them space and understand what they were going through, which led me to stress, anxiety, and depression. I also found the environment at FOMS unhealthy. As soon as I would enter FOMS, I was scared and felt insecure. The attitudes of the students was toxic and made me feel unsafe. Tears, fights, screaming, and disrespect was a common thing for the students. There were also teachers who failed to protect the students. Multiple times, physical fights almost started, and were stopped by the students, not the teacher.
All 4 of my children have attended or are attending Forest Oak Middle. This gem of a school has amazing teachers, a fantastic administration and a thoughtful work environment for the kids and staff. The students are excited, challenged and eager to learn . The school provides the prefect balance for the students, studying mindfulness while having rigorous academic goals.
