Forest Hills High School is very welcoming. On my first day of freshman year I was not nervous at all! Forest Hills takes pride in our diverse student body, as no student is the same. We have teachers, counselors, and principals that will stand up for us no matter what. Forest Hills has allowed me to engage in leadership experiences such as being the school representative for the "Spread the Word to End the Word" campaign where I created a series of small video clips that included students from regular ed and our self-contained students with very special abilities. The purpose of these videos was to educate our student body about the disrespectful meaning of the "R" word. I love my Forest Hills Family, and I am proud to be a member of the Class of 2020!
I have had a wonderful experience at Forest Hills High School. As a graduating senior this year, I feel I am prepared to continue my education and thrive at a 4 year university. The teachers are very involved with their students and stay on top of ensuring the best educational experience possible. The sports programs are diverse and lots of fun! The college advisors are the best in the county and spend countless hours assisting students prepare applications for college.
This year has been unbelievable and really unexpectedly overwhelming. The staff, administration and other classmates has made my Senior year more unbelievable the Covid epidemic. I feel I am more prepared for college life now than ever since I've had to do my entire Senior year virtually with a minimum of four or five on-site school personnel visits. Overall the way the year has gone I believe FHHS staff has really done and outstanding job with keeping the students, staff and visitors safe well organized, and informed of any changes. My educational goals and experience this year were met and achieved by me applying my knowledge and skills previously learned as well as utilizing the assistance of my teachers. FHHS really is a great rural area school.
