Forest Bluff School expects to be open for students to attend in person in the fall! When moving to IL we searched for a school similar to our children's prior Montessori program. We found Forest Bluff and it has been a most positive experience for the entire family. My children were welcomed into the program and our transition went smoothly.

One aspect that we have particularly enjoyed about this school is the thoughtful outreach to the parent community.  It is clear that each family is cared for and there are ample opportunities as a parent to expand your knowledge of childhood development and foster relationships with other families.

My elementary-age daughter very much enjoys how art is seamlessly woven into the program. Another pleasant surprise was the structure of outdoor time. It not only encourages physical activity but also time management and social skills. There are many other thoughtful details incorporated into Forest Bluff's program but we must stress our positive experience with teachers and staff: knowledgeable, warm, and supportive!

The emphasis on collaboration with other students/teachers paired with a hands-on learning curriculum helped me establish a love for learning new things when I attended Forest Bluff. I was able to master valuable academic concepts and social skills, which created a smooth transition from K-8 to High School and College. As a current senior attending University, I will cherish my experience at Forest Bluff and the great memories that I had. It is the perfect environment for children to grow and learn!
As a parent of two elementary-aged children who have been at Forest Bluff School since they were 18 months old, I can say without any reservations that choosing this very special Montessori school was the best parenting decision my husband and I have ever made. Our children love school and are confident, compassionate, and curious learners. They take great pride in their schoolwork, not for any extrinsic reward but for the sake of learning itself and the self-satisfaction they get when they know they have worked hard on a project of their own choosing.

We are so grateful to have found Forest Bluff, as it has shaped us into parents who are secure in making choices for our children that we know are best for their development: emphasizing reading for pleasure at home, encouraging play time in nature, not over-scheduling, limiting screen time, expecting our kids to contribute at home, and so much more.
