Amazing staff! Always willing to lend a helping hand and ensure that they have personal relationships with their students.
I think Fordson high school is a good school, I've attended fordson for the past three years and I had a very good educational experience. Fordson high school is very diverse, you can definitely feel safe, being in a diverse school helped me learn more about different cultural and social benefits.
As a student who went to Fordson High School for all four of her high school years, the thing I enjoyed most about being at Fordson was the diversity and the comfort I received from my peers and teachers. The people at Fordson, whether they were my friends or teachers, helped guide me through my educational program. The one thing I hope can change is the lacking focus on mental health. Mental health should be focused on because many students tend to feel stressed and this causes them to have a lack motivation for their schoolwork.
My experience at Fordson High School was really good even during this pandemic they have tried their very best to give us students the best education possible. I feel like I can connect to other students and everybody was friendly. Teachers will help at any time and provide many resources and methods for students to learn. Overall it was a great experience.
It’s an all around great school. The diversity is like not her and is one of the most historical places and schools probably in America. The push for greater education is all around the school where ever you go teachers and administrators alike tend to students need when ever they can but in my opinion they still need a couple more of everything just to make it perfect
My experience at Fordson was great. I liked the courses that were offered. Something I would like to change is to include coding courses.
I remember my first year in Fordson. I felt overwhelmed with all the new experiences. It was my first year in the US and I didn’t really expect things to be so different. My freshman was the absolute worst, I used to think to myself that I have to do 4 years of this nightmare. Frankly, Fordson wasn’t so bad, it was my mentality that made me think of it that way. I was in a bad state of mind that made me deal with things the wrong way. Easy to say, my other 3 years were so different. I adapted to this whole new system and realized that Fordson is where I belong. From the outside you hear a lot of gossip about Fordson, but when you live the experience you grow to love it. Fordson made me grow more educated, mature, and wise.
I liked a lot of things in the school, the most are special the teaches because they know to teach well and they take there time so we can understand the work.
My experience at Fordson Wasn’t that bad, I’ve had lots of caring teachers, they were very understanding and supportive!
In Fordson, I loved the energy created that had all students and staff treat each other like family. I just wished they encouraged girls in school like how they encourage the boys.
I love the environment and will forever cherish the memories made within the school. Teachers create strong bonds and relationships with the students. Staff is incredible!
I would like to see a more caring teacher to student environment. Sports teams are awesome and fun to watch.
The experience at Fordson High school was ok I would say. The teachers are the highlight of the school. They do genuinely care about their students and literally do whatever it takes for their students to learn. They try their best to put their students in the best position to succeed. Of the many things I would change, the most important should be the way that administration deal with athletes. They do tend to put them above everyone else and everyone not only me see it. For instance, a football player would be skipping and they would not really make it such a big deal, while on the other hand if someone who is not an athlete tries or even does skip, they will most likely get in trouble. They do tend to have favorites and the students are not as polite as people think.
I am actually a current high school student i would like to change the way the teachers teach.Especially, in math my junior year i didn't understand anything.
There are many things I would like to see change at Fordson High School. For example, at the end of the school day, when students are waiting for their rides, students are kicked out of the school the second the day ends. Students sometimes have to wait for an hour in the cold waiting for their ride they have no control of. The school could at least put a couple of benches for students to sit on while waiting outside instead of having to sit on the dirty floor like we are some kind of animals have first hand experience with this which caused me to get a week-long cold. The school also locks the bathroom doors because of vaping in the bathroom which is not a good way to address the situation. Not being able to use the bathroom for 8 hours is something that shouldn't be allowed to happen. The lunch is also really terrible despite the changes they recently made. Hair is found in the food and food is sometimes cold or rotten.
Coming in as a freshman, I didn't know what to expect. Seniors would always tell me, "You're going to have the best 4 years of your life." I always thought they exaggerated that. 4 years later, I'm a senior and they were not lying. The football games, the amazing teachers and staff members, and my fellow peers. We grew up like brothers and sisters. I know for sure I'm going to miss Fordson for the culture itself.
