I liked that everyone here is proud to express their cultures. We are mostly Arab-Americans but many different ethnicities are prevalent here, and its lovely to see! I also liked most of AP courses here, and the teachers I had were great! Most of all, However, I wish the school administration here would give us more chances to do bigger things throughout our highschool careers, and let us be more involved in creating community projects, or even just new school clubs. Also, mental health awareness is minimal here, and some students only get help when they are near their breaking point. Best wishes to the upcoming class at Fordson! I hope things change for the best soon!
The community present in Fordson High School is very polite, kind, and welcoming. As for the staff and administration, they handle everything with full responsibility and accountability. They're great at what they do!
I enjoyed my experience at Fordson High School. The staff, particularly Dr. Lisa Kanniainen, Ms. Kostovoski, Mr. Jadallah and Ms. Chami, and other engaged teachers have been truly amazing and create connections with students that I am sure will last beyond my high school experience. Issues lie in lack on technology and student bullying and harassment. Students constantly getting into fights creates an unsafe environment, overcrowding of the school is dangerous as well. Rises in COVID and other illnesses spread. Harassment of girls is a huge issue, and majority of students seem unstable. More support needed in student mental health.
