Going to school at Foothill Tech has been an amazing experience, one I am not soon to forget. Our teachers are engaging and creative, ours students are some of the most talented and dedicated learners, and we have progressed tremendously through the introduction of sports to our campus; sixth year here we come! One of the things I have appreciated most from attending Foothill is how the teachers and administration and fellow students constantly push you to do your best, even if you don't succeed. At Foothill it is believed that everyone can go to college and in turn counseling, guidance, resources, and connections are provided to any and all students who walk through the schools doors. While Foothill may not grant the most traditional high school experience, it delivers on all other fronts and never disappoints.
I love this school! I couldn't have asked for a better education and environment! The teachers are amazing, although they do seem to choose favorites based on peoples political beliefs. I know a lot of people have felt poorly because their teacher clearly showed bias towards one side of the political spectrum. Other than that one thing, it is one of the best schools ever. The administration are amazing people, who are fair and friends with everyone. The buildings are modern and clean. Also, the food is not half bad. They even have filtered water available to the students. I love Foothill Tech.
I liked the tightly-knit environment that we had on campus, small class sizes allow for a more individualistic approach to teaching, which in turn facilitates success on a higher scale. The teachers have respect for the students and truly have earned their titles as educators. The resources available to students are vast in quantity as well as scope, with tutoring available as well as resources for work permits and community service, even for prospective college students. Overall my experience at FTHS was a resounding good one, despite the academic struggles. At Foothill, students are pushed to new limits in learning and constantly improving on skills both old and new. My school felt welcoming and warm when I first arrived, and it continued to feel like that to the very end. I am deeply proud to have been a student of Foothill Technology High School because it made me who I am today.
