I like the effort the school puts forth to offer parent involvement opportunities to families. I also like the avenues of communication available to parents ( ParentVUE, teacher’s blogs, principals weekly blog, weekly school updates via email, etc.)I just wish there were more enriching opportunities for students to be involved in and that behavior issues were addressed more effectively.

Floyd Middle school is a great place to prepare for high school. The teachers and staff are excellent. The involved families work hard to provide the best experience for their children. Middle school is different than elementary and some parents and children have a hard time adjusting to the different communication style between parents, students and administration. Floyd does a good job helping families to adjust to these differences, and are open to working with families to produce the best possible experience.
While staying with my aunt for 1 year attending this school for 8th grade was awesome! It is so many activities that your child will look forward to going to school and you will be waiting on the next activity.
