Flour Bluff School District was a great experience for me. Every teacher I had loved their job and loved their students. The Administration also stood up for the students in Flour Bluff when problems arose in the district. Problems like; fires, outside threats, bad weather conditions, power outages, and more. Likewise, the security in the school made sure of the students and staff of the schools safety. The student body cared for one another for the and everyone helped one another. The one thing I would like to see a change in is the maintenance of the high school. Other than that, the Flour Bluff School District is a great school.
There is a lot of opportunity for community involvement and improvement, which I am a big fan. I am a goal oriented person. I am passionate about volunteering in my local community to improve local marine environment and improve local people’s lives. I have already started reaching my goals by having a 4.0 GPA and a 1310 on my SAT. I hope this will kick start my college career to study either environmental engineering, computer science, or marine sciences.
I currently support my Corpus Christi community by:
1. National Honor Society- Where we volunteer time and finances to improve not just our own high school, but many other schools in and around Corpus Christi.
2. Science National Honor Society- I am the Vice President, and we volunteer at environmental quality organizations and marine animal organizations such as the Texas Sealife Center.
3. Interact Club- Where we set up and volunteer to fund scholarships and read books aloud to Early Childhood Centers in the area.
Thank

Flour Bluff High School is a mellow school where bullying and harassment are practically nonexistent. The academic and sport programs are exceptional. The school offers an assortment of advanced placement, dual credit, and ON-RAMPS classes that provide college credit. The school also offers various career related classes that will build their skills in areas such as cosmetology or can give them the opportunity to earn medical field certifications. While the bluff is not a perfect school, it really shines through with the opportunities that it gives to the students.
