I have been at Florida Christian since Pre-K. It has become my family filled with teachers, staff and administrators who truly care for me and my success as a student and as a person. I feel like I have a truly well-rounded experience here by involved in multiple sports, activities, and in academics. My teachers truly care and have helped me above and beyond what is required of them. I have a learning disability, which Florida Christian's Discovery Department has ensured that all my accommodations are in place. I feel completely supported so that all my learning needs are meant. My counselor Mrs. Moore is more like my life-coach. She has guided me through my entire middle and high school career. She has ensured that all my teachers know how to make my learning experience optimal.
Our son started Florida Christian 3 years ago for middle school and is now in high school, and our youngest son just started 6th grade this year. We have been so happy. The teachers really care about our kids, are easy to communicate with and put all grades and homework assignments online so it is easy for parents to check. The administration has an open door policy and is quick at solving any problems that might occur. The school has an incredible fine arts department with dedicated music and drama teachers that work tirelessly throughout the school year attending various competitions and putting on productions. Florida Christian has the perfect balance of academics, fine arts, and sports all wrapped up in a Christian atmosphere.
I thoroughly enjoyed the small classroom settings because I got to know the teachers and was able to connect to them much better than I do in my university now. I had fantastic instructors, particularly my AP English, Yearbook, AP Calculus and Choir teachers. They were incredibly passionate, patient and knowledgeable about their subject. Highly recommend going to this school for its curriculum!
