Fitchburg High School Reviews
Rating 3.92 out of 5 108 reviews
As a current junior in high school, my experience at Fitchburg High hasn't been anything but superb. I have grown up within this schooling district and although there are many flaws that I and others can speak on, I feel that these flaws make Fitchburg High unique. As a present student within the district, it is my and other students' jobs to change those things if we want to make things better for future students such as bringing in more diverse staff and curricula which has been one of my main goals thus far. Nonetheless, I have experienced and gained so many opportunities at these schools that I am overwhelmingly blessed to say I have had the chance to be a part of, and I can't wait to further my academic, athletic, and occupational journey here. I honestly wouldn't want to be anywhere else or be anything but a Red Raider.
Fitchburg High School was basically a second home to me. It was the only other place I would spend so much time at besides my house. Some of the teachers and staff really did try to make a difference, push students to do their best even when they themselves aren’t at theirs. It’s such a surprise when adults at school have the power to have an influence on you, especially when you come from a broken home where not much is said or done to keep you pushing forward. I genuinely believe that some teachers really don’t get paid what they should be getting paid. I’ve seen teachers go above and beyond to help students gain the motivation and the desire to want to cross that stage and receive that diploma. Students have thrived in their own curiosity due to the belief in them from their teachers, of what they would like to do with their lives and strive to do it. Although what i would like to see change in the up coming years are the students coming together more.
Fitchburg High School is great in the fact that it strives to create an academically challenging but engaging environment. It offers many extracurricular clubs, free tutoring assistance, and pathways that assist students in their career journies. There is also funding for Dual Enrollment courses and AP exams. Students can play sports as well. Or E-Sports for those that like video games. The staff, teachers, and coaches motivate students to do their best. Everyone plays a role in the kids lives.
