I am a high school senior in FC's Legal Studies Academy. The Academy is not much different from regular classes, except for an additional elective and having English, History, and Science with exclusively other LSA students. FC does not assist students in college preparation, although we have time taken out of class every Wendesday for Advisory, which the intended purpose was to help students with life skills and lessons. The LSA also pushes us to register for Advanced Placement (AP) classes, and starting this year, we are required to take the corresponding exams, regardless if we are in the Academy or not. Overall, I had an average high school experience in the Academy.

I attend the academy at First Colonial High School in Virginia Beach. The building itself is very small with a large population, which makes it hard to navigate the hallways, especially in the intersections. Most of the teachers try their hardest to help each student succeed if they show effort, but still many teachers give tests and quizzes on untaught material. The classes themselves are very thorough, and in the academy, many classes are given in a variety of law fields for all interests. There are plenty of sports and clubs to be involved in, ranging from soccer to the fishing club, so there is an activity for all interests. It is also very easy to create a club if there is not one of interest. Overall, my experience at First Colonial has been for the most part pleasant, with some aspects being less than excellent.
I am a senior at First Colonial High school. I have been attending for all 4 years, and this school has not been bad to me at all. There are many things to do at this school, and since my sophmore year I have been heavily invested in our schools theater program. It is a wonderful occupation of mine and I have made plenty of great friends and memories doing this. We pride ourselves on our LSA at First Colonial. We also have plenty of sports and club activities, some of those clubs include the many languages one can take at First Colonial. I've always been interested in learning different languages. So i've always enjoyed the fact that they embrace people like that.
