First Baptist gives great opportunities to those who need a boost in core subjects but tends to fall behind the curve in art, physical education, and other extra courses. The school values a great ap and honors program as well as a fantastic dual credit program to prepare the students for college with upwards of two hours of college credits. The great small classroom setting with more than qualified teachers. Teachers care for their students inside and outside the classroom. Great small school with a fantastic football program.

I have enjoyed the size of the classes and how the teachers know my children and their weaknesses and strengths. They work with them to strengthen weaknesses and capitalize on their strengths. I would like to see a little more transparency in how the process of hiring coaches and teachers goes.
Only a select few teachers truly love what they do enough to care about the success and well-being of their students. Many only do the bare minimum required, and could care less about the success of their students in and out of the classroom. Some are dismissive and degrading while others are ignorant to the blatant issues and violations of some students. Being that it is a proclaimed Christian School, many of the teachers do not encourage a Godly lifestyle or relate their teaching to real-word situations. As a Christian you are inadequately prepped, taught, and encouraged by many of the teachers to share the Gospel. If not for the AP Englsih, Dual Credit English, and Dual Credit History programs' teachers the school would lose its right to even broadcast its mission statement.
