The teachers are supportive, they want all students to be successful, and they challenge us every day to be better. We also have the opportunity to take courses at other campuses, to obtain a different perspective and to learn in a new environment.

The school encouraged us to apply to colleges early on, and stressed the importance of searching for scholarships. They help with this initiative, by meeting with student weekly to discuss progress, scheduling talks with college advisers to answer questions, organizing college fairs to gain openness about attending other colleges, and utilizing class periods to talk about college readiness.

Ferndale High School is welcoming and embrace different cultures and backgrounds.

I graduated from Ferndale High School in 2018, I made a lot memories there. I like how diverse the students are at my former high school. My favorite spot to hang out is the courtyard located in the central part of campus (great place to relax and unwind from the school life). During my time there, I was apart of their choir and National Honor Society. I also took some AP courses and they prepared for the college classes I'm taking now. The teachers were very friendly and willing to help their students.
I am currently a senior at Ferndale high school and my high school experience could have been better in numerous of ways. Like all schools Ferndale has things to improve on but it is not all bad. Ferndale is very diverse and does have a lot of great teachers that genuinely care about their students and their job. Ferndale could improve on school activities, assemblies, school dances, and making the overall high school experience better for the students.
