My experience wasn’t always the best because I didn’t have the best friends in the first year. However, I got to adventure out and try new things in high school, like theater. This then grew my love for performing as well! Now I perform at Open Mic Nights at a cafe and share my poetry with others, and I absolutely love it. They also have a really great staff that genuinely cares about their students. I was also a part of a dual enrollment program there too, where I was able to get early college credits! Overall, it was just your average high school shenanigans. I wouldn’t relive those moments, but I am grateful for what they gave me. New friendships, new ways to express myself, and memories to look back on.
Fenton Area Public Schools, especially Fenton Senior High School is one of the best school districts in our area. It has a variety of activities, clubs, sports, and academic opportunities for students. Some of the sports they provide go unnoticed like Girls and Boys Varsity Swim & Dive, Girls Varsity Swim have competed and won 19 consecutive Metro Leagues. Also, Girls' Varsity and JV bowling have gone unnoticed in our school, and the girls work really hard to win tournaments and go to regionals and states. The school helps with activities like the Marching Band and other musical activities like Ambassadors. They provide lots of academic opportunities and students have the ability to receive their academic letter from it.
Through my years at Fenton Senior High School, I have attained many attributes. I have leaned to be a better and kinder person, I have gained a education, and finally i have made friendships to last a lifetime. Although, it might not be the best school in Michigan, I am proud to call it my school and wouldn’t change a thing!
