Out of every school, I have been to Federal Way High School has the most diverse group of students I have ever seen. No matter what race, gender, religion, etc.. Federal way eagles welcome anyone with open arms. The teachers are amazing and extremely helpful. If you need extra help they're willing to stay after school or come to school earlier for you. Once you step in the Eagles territory, you feel comfortability and you just get a sense that this is home. What I hope to see change is the school spirit, we are slowly getting there but I wish more students participated in school assemblies and spirit weeks because at the end of the day we may never do it again so why not do it now.

Federal Way High School is a lively school. When I was looking for high schools to attend, I felt most comfortable with this school despite its reputation for being "ghetto". I'll admit that fights do happen, but that happens in other schools too. The building is also not in the best condition and the school is currently undergoing construction, but I'm hoping that the new school building will be much better. From my experience, the majority of the teachers I've had are friendly and seem passionate about what they do. Some even try to connect with students and show that they care about us and try to make class interesting. What I like about FWHS is the sense of belonging too. It feels like you're part of a big family there. If you have an interest, there's usually a club that you can join with people that share your interests, which makes high school enjoyable.
There is some teachers that have that initiative to make your student learn and not be bored in class they make you feel like your actually learning in class not just by reading text books but actually caring for the class for example in history i have a teacher who is so into what happened in our history she expresses it like we still live it. They try to understand our personal problems and try to cooperate with us. No teacher at this school makes you feel like you don't belong in that class nor they make you feel like you're not worth education! Teachers try there best in grading everything as soon as possible for us for us to make up work, they care about us not having a good grade in class.
