At Far Hills, students are empowered to grow inward, outward, and upward and graduate prepared to lead at the country’s most competitive secondary schools. Together on one expansive campus, they form a tight-knit community where they connect across grade levels and challenge each other to think independently and achieve confidently.
Far Hills champions both academic excellence and emotional intelligence. Beginning in preschool and continuing through eighth grade, students are given the freedom to explore—topics of interest, themselves, and the world. Through self-directed learning, emergent curriculum, and adventure experiences, their curiosity is nourished, and their passions are uncovered.
Our expansive 54-acre campus with woodlands, gardens, and a pond provides students with opportunities to learn beyond the walls of the classroom. While Far Hills students are known for their wide-ranging achievements, it is their strength of character that truly distinguishes them.

Far Hills Country Day School Reviews
My teachers were great. They were always accessible and made us feel like they were partners in our learning. They cared about us and knew how we were doing in all of our classes, not just the ones they taught. I was encouraged to seek them out for help, advice, or anything else, and that sense of self-advocacy has served me well.
Far Hills Country Day School was a great school for me and a great place to grow up.
