Had a wonderful experience at FLA since 4th grade and I will be graduating this year. I have had wonderful teachers who really care about their students, not only getting involved in their education but really caring about them as individuals. There are many classes to choose from once you enter high school - for example, forensic science, sign language, physics etc. You also have the option of taking community college classes at the nearby college (about 2 miles away) either in person or online to earn credits for college for free. It's called Career and College Promise. We do not have a lunch room but have our lunches catered (pizza, chick-fil-a, Mexican, subway) so the food is really good with plenty of choices. I really enjoyed playing soccer throughout middle school and high school and we have a wonderful turf soccer field beside the school. Administration staff are all very helpful and approachable. They really want every student to succeed and hold students accountable
Falls Lake Academy is a school intended to prepare you not only for college, but also for independence after high school. This is exactly what they do, with caring teachers and well-throughout courses, they support you through and through.
Falls Lake Academy is relatively average as far as high school goes, with nothing particularly special to set it apart. There are a few very good teachers, but the administration is overall less than favorable. The sports programs are okay, and the arts are great, if not underfunded. Academically, there are some high achievers that may be challenged, but not very much. There is a strong focus on project based learning, but it has lessened since the school's beginning.
