Academically - an excellent school to prep your child for college, especially in the fields of writing and reading comprehension. Science is lacking. Resources for extra curriculars are focused on sports, not art or culture. Diversity is next to none. Your kid will be prepared academically for college if they attend this school, but it is a bubble. Heavy focus on conservative religion and traditional values. Parents can be clicky and entitled, which shines through their children. Teachers care very much for their students and want them to succeed. Classes here are very difficult, which prepares you well for university, but will reduce your GPA and associated scholarship chances when applying to colleges as a senior as (GPAs of local public school students are often 4.0+). Academically, a great place to send your kid. Could benefit heavily from a more well-rounded approach to education by the addition of modern values, broad spectrum societal involvement, and science-based teaching.
Faith Christian Academy is a small private school. You will get to know everyone in person. We know each other well and absolutely feel like we have a family at FCA. Also, it's very easy to build a relationship with a teacher. We know how to face a problem and know how to break it down together. I'm very confident to say that FCA has the highest education system in Martinsburg. We don't only learn the subjects, we also focus on our future and how to change or make a difference in the world. Our vision is to develop leaders who can resolve global challenges creatively and open doors to a new era of possibilities. Our mission to become an exemplary higher education instution capable of thiving in today's fast-paced society. The teachers work hard to make sure that everyone is well satisfied with their works. FCA teachers teach the students that we are the history makers and high hopes for the world. My only hope for my school is that our school gathers more international students.
