Attending Fairview High School had granted me an excellent high school education! I would recommend this school because it provides many opportunities (clubs, internships, volunteer services, etc.) as well as necessary resources. The average high school freshman may have no clue what their passion is, but with Fairviews' College and Career Center, anyone can find their career path and the right school for them! The academics at Fairview are incredible and accurately prepare students for the real world. Overall, I love Fairview High School and am thankful for all that it has provided for me!

Fairview High School, in Boulder, Colorado is a very large school, at 2,400 students overlooking the Flatirons of the Rocky Mountains. While the education is strong, the classes sizes are larger, approximately 30 students per class. There are many clubs to join and if your student doesn't see something they are interested in, they can create their own. There are a lot of sports to participate in, but some are more selective than others. With so many students competing, it can be difficult to make the cut for more selective teams. One area that I see as an opportunity for improvement as a parent is student support in the area of "professional school counseling". I do not think Fairview is set up for success. There are too few counselors / resources for students, especially during busy periods, like college admissions time. The counselors they do have try to meet the needs, but are unfortunately too overwhelmed with too many students to give the focus and attention needed.
Fairview is great academically and athletically. Many students go on to top colleges and are well prepared, and many continue to play sports for top division schools. However, the school itself isn't as great. The school has gone through a recent renovation, which is great, however not at a great time. All the bathrooms but 2.5 are available for 2,300 students! Yikes! And they're not the best either, there is never toilet paper! And the parking is a mess. Don't buy a nice car for parking at school! But besides that, and the bad administration, FHS is a pretty fun place.
