From my personal experience, Fairfax High School offers many opportunities for a variety of students. There are after school programs such as L.A.C.E.R. and tutoring for students that want more academic help outside of class. Fairfax students also have an opportunity to work for Greenway Arts Alliance or at the Cedar Sinai Hospital. The teachers are friendly and nice, although there are several students tend to make disruptions that make it difficult for the teachers to continue with their class sessions. Unfortunately, many students don’t take advantage of the different resources that Fairfax has. A downside about our student population is that we don’t have a lot of spirit at pep rallys and events, especially amongst the underclassmen. I honestly think that our school can improve drastically if students started participating more in school events that happen throughout the school year, because we are lacking the spirit that would motivate us to perform better at this school.

Fairfax High School was truly an amazing way to experience high school. This school was full of spirit by having pep rallies every Friday. Spirit week for the Football homecoming game was always a thrill!
When it comes to academics, Fairfax Senior High School has some of the greatest educators. From personal experience, I really felt that I was able to be open with my teachers and whether it was an academic problem or a personal one they would always welcome me with open hands. Most teachers do challenge the students, but in a positive way. It would help us use our knowledge to its full potential, because all teachers believed we had what it takes.
Overall Fairfax Senior High School really follows through with their motto; "Fare Fac" (translation: Say and Do), because everything they say with promise they will do.
Something that I really liked about Fairfax Senior High School was that the school offered various opportunities for students who needed extra help in certain subjects. Not only would the school offer after school tutoring for all students, no matter the academic level they were in, but teachers even offered to dedicate their break time in order to help and teach those students who needed extra help on certain subjects. Fairfax Senior High School also had a variety of school clubs in which all students could be a part of. This allowed students, especially new students to expand their socializing and communication skills, which are factors that could help in having a successful high school career.
