Fairfax High School was truly an amazing way to experience high school. This school was full of spirit by having pep rallies every Friday. Spirit week for the Football homecoming game was always a thrill!
When it comes to academics, Fairfax Senior High School has some of the greatest educators. From personal experience, I really felt that I was able to be open with my teachers and whether it was an academic problem or a personal one they would always welcome me with open hands. Most teachers do challenge the students, but in a positive way. It would help us use our knowledge to its full potential, because all teachers believed we had what it takes.
Overall Fairfax Senior High School really follows through with their motto; "Fare Fac" (translation: Say and Do), because everything they say with promise they will do.

The experiences you gain from being a part of the Visual Arts Magnet at FHS is beyond excellent and irreplaceable. One of the reasons I enjoyed this school is because of its diversity. Not only is it a safe school, but you can make lasting connections with teachers who are willing to listen - that is if you'd be willing to. Something that has been going on for years is the tension between regular students and magnet students. In all honesty, it's something I wouldn't want to change since it makes things fun. Because of the tension, you learn how to defend your side whether you take it seriously or as a joke. I also recommend becoming a part of LACER (an after school program); you'll grow so much with the clubs and activities they provide - especially with tutoring!
There are a mix of passionate teachers and I'm-just-here-for-the-money teachers. There are a mix of Ivy League acceptees and high school dropouts. There are a mix of races and sexual orientations. Fairfax is a little like any other school. Mr. Garcia is chill, though. He's a Good Dude. One of the best college counselors around!
