F. Niel Postlethwait Middle School Reviews

This is one of the worst schools my children have ever attended. The traits my son developed in a few months of being in this school environment have been very detrimental. The teachers are more worried about doing tiktoks and doing as little as possible for the children. The ratio from student to teacher is more like 27:1. If your child has an IEP they do just the bare minimum to make sure they get the funds for that classification. They push your child through their classes and don't try to educate them. One year was plenty for my children and will be looking to virtual schooling or a local charter/private school for my sons to go to. They will try to impose their beliefs and views on the world to your children instead of teaching them what is suppose to be taught in school. We had many school texts and calls about weapons in school, drugs in school and fights happening at the school.
I am currently ending my time here at Postlethwait, and I have had a good time. The bullying and drama is a bad issue within the students, and some of the teachers do not help the students as much as they should. I would say that the admins take great care of the students here. The one thing the school focuses on is acedemics and equity, and I think they successfuly did that. I would not say this is THE BEST middle school, but I think it was a great one.
I think Postlethwait has offered a great experience for all three of my kids. My daughter is now a sophomore and is quite successful academically. I think middle school provided her with a great foundation. My boys have enjoyed their time at the school as well and especially like the different sports that they are involved in.
