My experience has varied according to the teachers, the amount of opportunities available, and the preparation for college. Most of the teachers have a pretty decent amount of previous college education themselves and make effort to apply the best assignments with lectures. As for the opportunities given to students. I'd say it is not as good as it can be. Although the school offers a college trip yearly, not much else has been offered to those interested in their future plans, bringing me to the preparation for college. I have to say, what's taught in English courses for freshmen through Junior's do not apply to college courses despite the teachers trying their best to teach what they can to students.

Exeter Union High is not a boring school with ordinary students and staff. However, it is not a perfect school where everyone dreams to go. This place is special due to its history, diversity of students, interesting teachers/staff, school spirit and our P.R.I.D.E. (Purpose, Responsibility, Integrity, Duty, Excellence). Our teachers are serious in teaching yet fun. The school's staff and teachers are there to help us and to talk to. Besides of being teachers, they can also become our friends. This place feels like home due to its environment of positivity/fun, friends and memorable times. Everyone feels mostly happy to attend here, I know I do.
The administration does not act on the students' best interest and refuse to listen to student, parent, or teacher opinions. Some teachers are great but there are many bad teachers because they either fire the good ones or can't afford competent teachers in the first place, specifically in the math department. There are no working water fountains and the bathrooms are somewhat in disrepair. Frankly, the only reason I didn't transfer out of the school was because I couldn't leave my friends there alone.
