I appreciated the help of the guidance department and especially my guidance counselor. She was able to help and guide or redirect when I needed it. The facility and athletic fields were nice. EHS allowed me to change my education path and partake in off campus learning through Vlacs, ability to take a Vocational class at the SST and do dual-enrollment and early college classes to better prepare myself for post grad education. My parents were very involved in my education to help me achieve my goals.
The downside was a couple of the teachers that I had the unfortunate luck of being placed in the class. These educators were there for the paycheck and not to be educators. These teachers did not hesitate to tell the class there thoughts. The attitudes of some staff did not make you feel welcome or that they cared about the students success. I am happy to be moving on and grateful I had the support of my parents and my guidance counselor to push me and help me to reach this point.

Exeter has a great education program! I love that they offer courses for all different levels of learning. They have classes for students that need more assistance and students that are preparing for higher education.
Exeter really does have some excellent resources as of this year as well as the year before. Mr. Monahan the principle has done really great things and made accomplished efforts to make EHS a safe, welcoming, and supportive school. I have been in the school system before he was principle, and I can say that I was no where near as safe, well functioning, and successful as it is now. I personally had a very traumatic event occur when attending this school in my underclassmen years, and the principle at that time tried to ignore it and even told me that I was "over reacting". Out of sorts, I reached out to another adult in the administration and he immediate took action to ensure my safety as well as making me feel like I was being looked out for. If Mr. Monahan had not advocated for me in my early years of high school, I would have lost all hope in my ability to continue at Exeter, as well as all hope in my schools adults.
