I am very fond of my experiences at Everglades High School. I enjoyed entering the school and witnessing a friendly environment of new and distinct faces all around me. The faculty members are enganged in student activites and work to improve their overall performance. I also appreciate their persistence to inform parents of any current or upcoming events on through automated messages and emails. What I would like to see change however, is a set of new laptop computers. Some of the computers are very slow when starting up or they are sometimes unusable. Otherwise, my time at Everglades High School has prepared me for my entire into a new world.

I love that Everglades provided students with many different programs. For example, Cambridge, Sports Medicine, Project Red, and a Firefighter academy. Additionally, they have a variety of clubs. I am a very active student. So, I participate in everything. To list a few things, SGA, hallway decorating, spirit week, powderpuff, etc. The spirit week hosted by SGA is the highlight of my high school. Plus, the legacy choir is GREAT! I enjoy going to the football games and cheering my school on. The theater production is also very entertaining. However, the environment is okay. A majority of the students are rude and ignorant. Just stick with the right crowd. The teachers ( in every subject) can be more knowledgeable. SHOUTOUT TO MRS. MERLINO (the AP Psychology teacher). She pushes you hard, but she will lead you to a solid 5 in the AP exam. So, school activities is an A+, but teachers and environment is a C.
My experience at Everglades High School has been amazing filled with many highs and lows. The school provides a safe and inclusive environment that makes anyone and everyone feel welcomed. The staff is very helpful and provides students with anything they need to succeed in their education, as for the counselors they do everything in their power to make sure students are ready to take on the classes they need and they also prepare students for after high school with many college meetings/presentations. Therefore overall I give Everglades High School four stars and hope they keep to these standards.
