I have been attending to Evangel throughout my high school career. I was adopted from China at the age of twelve. I came to America without any ability to speak English. I attended to a public school and homeschool to better my English understanding. Afterwards, I attended sixth grade at Evangel with my sisters. This school understood my situation and that I needed to be with my sisters, so they allowed me to be couple of grades behind. Not only they allowed me to do this, but they also gave me accommodations like extra time on test, etc. I love Evangel and the environment. All the teachers are followers of Christ and very understanding of what I’ve been through. Each and every one of them is very helpful and kind toward me. The school has also prepared me to step out in the world like speaking in public, expressing myself and prepared me well to face other worldviews and religions.
As soon as you enter the Logic and Rhetoric school things go for the worse. Students are leaving in staggering numbers along with teachers, and the ones that do stay have the mentality of a Professor at a University, constantly belittling you if you are not a A+ student. If a parent and/or student is not in good standing with the faculty then their time at the school will be miserable with the teachers constantly holding grudges. No diversity, and constantly setting up fundraisers to scam families out of money to keep funding this sorry excuse for a private school.
Our child is only in Grammar School but ECCS has already surpassed every expectation we had! This school provides an EXCELLENT biblically-based education, wonderful caring teachers and a nurturing environment. On the first day of school our daughter was unsure about her new environment, her teacher scooped her into the biggest hug and began praying over her. Words can't express how much we love this school!
