I had aspects I liked and parts I didn’t like. Let's get the negative out of the way. High school has a lot of what I see is wasted good deal of time. There's busy work from some teachers but there's time wasted on standardized testing, sitting around waiting for bells to ring, etc.

However, the positive in high school, I really developed a deeper interest in a number of subjects due to my teachers, especially in my first years. They made some of the most interesting activities, like a history debate about Columbus Day. Best of all, my education at this time is free! Never took that for granted. I used my high school years to get what I wanted in life. It was a vehicle to get me from where I was to where I wanted to be. I had fun, but I never understood why people would always say “it's the best four years of your life.” I'm looking forwarded to my college years. Though, I am very grateful to my teachers for their care and teaching.

About two years ago, my aunt and I decided it was time for me to leave the reservation and get a good education. I am now a senior. I feel like I am getting the education I need to pursue life after high school. But not only do they provide their students with academic skills but also life. They have a range of course options, that often lead to a students major in secondary schooling. It wasn’t until I went to EHS I realized I wanted to go to college and with the help of their amazing staff I have completed all my applications. Eureka has an amazing staff as well as environment!
Most people have some group or activity they dedicate a lot of time to. For me it is band, both marching band and concert band. Here is where I met all my friends and I honestly don’t know what I as a person would be like without learning certain skills necessary for succeeding in band. My directors believe in me and my classmates support me. We always are able to have a good time together. In other classes, the culture there is good as well. AP classes are available and I believe help you prepare for college. When you have succeeded in AP courses you may move to dual enrollment which my friends and I will begin this fall! Overall this school is a good place for your education and to find your friends and passions.
