I love it here. As a community, we work together to raise money for the kids of St. Jude every year. Last year, we raised nearly $64,000! We have gathered all this money through local businesses and fundraising in our schools. We hold around 10 events throughout the year to raise the money, and there are other people in the community who raise money separately. This is just one thing I love about the community of Eureka, Illinois. I have always felt safe at Eureka, and I do not plan on leaving the area any time soon.

I have found my four years at Eureka High School to be enjoyable.
The teachers are always willing to give you a helping hand. Most of them stay for a fair time after school in order to help students who may be having difficulties.
However, I do find that the teachers do their jobs quiet well. As a small school, teachers are able to gain a stronger understanding of what their students personal educational needs may be, and focus more on the individual than the class(s) as a whole. Eureka has a great athletic program, and is able to compete at a mid-high level depending on the sport.
While I may not have taken chorus, I did have the joy of taking band all four years. As it contains roughly eighty to ninety plus kids every year, it takes up a good fraction of the schools small student population. Students in band are often in great friendships. I can personally say that the majority of my friends are in band.
Overall, I have found my experience to be great at Eureka High School,
Eureka High School has a great education system that really prepares kids for college. The opportunity to take dual credits places you ahead of the game compared to your peers in college. Every student can find their place in one of the many school clubs or sports. The school is very welcoming and is a great place for kids to grow!
